About the NPVA/NE
The National Professional Videographers’ Association of New England, known as the NPVA/NE, is an organization comprised of independent video professionals.
Most of the members are involved in the various aspects of video production while some members are representatives of companies which support the industry.
Since its establishment in 1986, the NPVA/NE has dedicated itself to the pursuit of excellence in video production. This is achieved by conducting monthly meetings, which serve to inform the members of new technological advancements and showcase members’ artistic works.
Each year the NPVA/NE carries on its’ commitment to excellence by sponsoring the Vista Awards competition. This contest not only recognizes those videographers who excel but also has become a valuable forum to explore individual forms of artistic expression. The Vista Award recipients are eager to share with their colleagues the techniques utilized to win such a prestigious competition.
The NPVA/NE affords members the opportunity to network extensively, develop technical competencies and realize the comradery associated with the pursuit of common interest and goals.
A code of ethics and standards for professional videographers has been established by the NPVA/NE. This code instills a sense of responsibility among the membership to strive to achieve a high level of quality.
